Our hero finds herself falling from her waking life into a dense forest; the stuff of fairy tales and horror films. Alone, afraid, she senses something is circling in the deep dark. Is it as bad as she imagines? Or worse? If she can outrun it, she’ll never find out what she was fleeing from….
This boldly original physical theatre production celebrates the power of fairy tales and the role that fear plays in our lives. It features large-scale projection, filmic sound design and an original fantasy horror score composed by Quincy Grant and recorded by the Adelaide Art Orchestra, conducted by Timothy Sexton.
Wolf was devised by Geoff Cobham, Quincy Grant, Roz Hervey, Sophie Hyde, Finegan Kruckemeyer, Nick O’Connor, Andy Packer and Jo Stone.
Wolf was produced and created during a Varcoe’s Foundry Residency, Mount Gambier South Australia, through the Local Stages Initiative and was assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body.
