Following a triumphant Melbourne Fringe Festival debut in 2010, Independent theatre company, SCRATCH theatre presents its original one-woman music theatre piece Lists of Invisible Things as part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
In collaboration with director Sally Bourne and Melbourne musician Jennifer Kingwell, young writer Caity Fowler has created a contemporary cabaret about life and death through the eyes of a 14 year old girl... who happens to be dead.
Alice is aloft. Where she can taste words, see sound in colour, keep her thoughts in jars and read invisible lists. Where people and memories arrive unannounced bearing baggage, botox and bakers delight! And if she listens hard enough she can hear everything... even Richard Mercer. But can she tell the difference between what she remembers and what she invented, the things left behind and the things that continue?
“Musically and vocally Caity Fowler could easily be the love child of The Waifs and Frente...” The AGE
