THE ULTIMATE IMAGINITIVE ESCAPE. Inspired by a true story of two German children who set off to elope to Africa, My Darling Patricia, re-imagines the tale as an ultimate escape from Australian suburbia. Using puppetry, broken toys and performance, you will be transported to a child’s resilient imaginary paradise. Where an adult might see abandon and chaos, a child discovers escape and delight; this is the world created in Africa. Adelaide was introduced to My Darling Patricia in 2007 when they picked up the Best Theatre Show Award in theAdelaide Fringe for Politely Savage. Drawing inspiration from all corners of the creative universe, My Darling Patricia have used their unique approach to design and performance to create something remarkable.
