A Cabaret Fringe Festival treat for the Francophiles of South Australia

Nexus Multicultural Arts Centre, in conjunction with Alliance Française Adelaide, presents the ultimate comedy for Francophiles, Feu la Mère de Madame (Madam's Mother is Dead). The French farce, written by famous French playwright Georges Feydeau, had its premiere in Paris at the Comédie Royale on 15 November 1908, and now is part of the 2010 Cabaret Fringe Festival. The play will be performed in French with English surtitles.
In the early hours of the morning, the argumentative Lucien and his equally quarrelsome wife Yvonne receive terrible news: the mother of Madam is dead! Yet as the farce unfolds, the audience learns that the valet who brought the news had made a mistake. The stage is set for another showdown between the couple...

- Director Christine Rothauser has directed several Young Singers production for the State Opera of South Australia and is also an actor. Her last performance was at Nexus Cabaret in 2009's Clochemerle.
- Jean-François Gavano, who plays Lucien, is a seasoned actor who has performed regularly for the Alliance Française over the past ten years, both in plays and with the Café Théâtre.
- Jessica Vivien, who play Yvonne, has been performing for the last three years. her last appearance was at Nexus Cabaret in 2009's Clochemerle.
- Olivier Ducros, who plays Joseph, is both an actor and a stage director who has been a regular performer for the last few years.
